Bachelor's Degree Preferred About the Opportunity Chilton Trailers is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and growth-minded Office Manager / Controller to join our leadership team and help drive the continued success of our growing manufacturing business. This position works directly with ownership and plays a critical role in overseeing the financial, administrative, and operational functions of the company. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, communicates effectively, solves problems proactively, and wants to grow alongside a stable and expanding organization. This is more than a traditional office management position. The successful candidate will become a key contributor to the future direction of the company and help build systems, processes, and financial structures that support long-term growth. Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Management & Accounting Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions Monitor company cash flow and financial performance Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Support ownership with financial planning and decision-making Coordinate with external CPA and accounting professionals Improve financial systems, controls, and reporting accuracy Prepare and analyze financial data to support business operations Office Management & Administration Oversee daily office operations and administrative functions Maintain organized records, files, and documentation Coordinate scheduling, purchasing, and office activities Facilitate communication between departments Develop and improve office procedures and workflows Customer & Vendor Relations Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and business partners Assist with quotations, purchase orders, invoicing, and follow-up Support dealership and supplier relationships Maintain high standards of customer service and responsiveness Leadership & Operational Support Partner directly with ownership on strategic initiatives Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency Support hiring, onboarding, and team communication efforts Participate in company growth projects and special initiatives Help create structure while fostering a positive company culture Process Improvement Streamline workflows and improve office efficiency Implement systems that support long-term scalability Maintain accurate reporting and operational metrics Drive continuous improvement across administrative and financial functions QualificationsRequired 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, office management, controller, or administrative leadership roles Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow management, budgeting, and financial reporting Experience using accounting software, spreadsheets, and business systems Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities Must reside within 20 miles of Chilton, WI, or be willing to relocate back to the area at your own expense Preferred Manufacturing industry experience Experience in buy/sell, distribution, dealership, or similar operational environments Experience working directly with business owners or executive leadership Strong Excel and financial analysis skills Proven success improving business processes and systems Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for a professional who is: Highly organized and dependable Self-motivated and proactive Financially minded and business-oriented Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Professional in dealing with customers, vendors, and employees Focused on continuous improvement and growth Capable of balancing structure, accountability, and flexibility Benefits Competitive salary: $81,000
