Position:
Responsible for providing directions to Forklift Operators, training, assigning work, and resolving problems within area of responsibility. Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials from rail cars in distribution center or storage yard.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances. Inventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed. Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely. Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance. Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process. Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can't be self-corrected to the leadership team. Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed. Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate. Other duties as assigned.

1st Shift- M-F From 7:00am - 3:30pm Hourly rate: $24/hourly This position is designated as safety-sensitive, meaning performance directly affects the safety of the employee and others, including the general public. Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Forklift Operator with rail-specific experience. Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments. Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.). Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
