$100-113.07/hour, depending on qualifications
Contractor Work Model:
Onsite Hours:
3 days/week, 6 hours/day (18 hours/week). Minimum 16 hours/week. Approval required for more than 20 hours/week. Schedule may flex based on equipment downtime and operational needs. Assignment runs from 6/22/26 through 10/2/26. Overview We are seeking an experienced Operational Trainer to support onboarding and skill development for new hires within a papermaking operation. This role focuses on hands-on training, coaching, and auditing activities to ensure employees understand equipment standards, defect identification, and operational best practices. The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge with proven leadership and mentoring abilities. Responsibilities Train new hires on operational standards and safe operation of papermaking equipment. Provide hands-on instruction on CIL standards and RLS processes related to papermaking operations. Coach and support employees in identifying and correcting the seven recognized defect types. Audit equipment for defects and assist with restoring equipment to established operating standards. Monitor trainee progress and reinforce adherence to operational procedures and quality expectations. Serve as a subject matter resource for equipment operation, troubleshooting, and best practices. Requirements Required Qualifications Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop employees in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience in a team lead, lead operator, or supervisory capacity. Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively deliver hands-on training. Proven leadership skills and ability to influence safe, quality-focused work practices. Experience working with industrial manufacturing or papermaking equipment. Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational and equipment needs. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Knowledge and experience with 12F papermachine operations. Experience using structured problem-solving methodologies. Mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting skills. Experience conducting equipment audits and corrective action activities.
