Director of Operations
Western Wisconsin | Full-Time | Direct Hire | M-F 7:00 AM•5:00 PM $140,000•160,000 base, with flexibility
Konik is partnering with a growing, well-established manufacturingpany to add a Director of Operations to their leadership team. This role will oversee production, quality, and maintenance functions, driving operational performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement across theanization.
This is a high-impact leadership position focused on optimizing manufacturing processes, improving capacity, and building a strong, accountable team culture. The Director of Operations will play a key role in aligning production with sales demand, improving quality metrics, and leading strategic operational initiatives.
Director of Operations Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations across production, quality, maintenance, and warehouse functions
Establish and track KPIs to improve manufacturing efficiency, throughput, and capacity
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing scrap, rework, and inefficiencies
Partner with sales and production control to align capacity with iing demand and maintain lead times
Develop and implement quality goals, reporting systems, and improvement strategies
Ensurepliance with OSHA, EPA, DNR, and other regulatory standards
Evaluate capital equipment needs and provide ROI-driven rmendations
Oversee facility operations, equipment maintenance, and overall infrastructure performance
Lead, develop, and mentor teams while fostering a strong culture of accountability andmunication
Director of Operations Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
5-10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Millwork or Building Materials)
5+ years of leadership experience overseeing production or operations teams
Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong understanding of production planning, quality systems, and operational metrics
Experience with capital planning, equipment evaluation, and process optimization
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a fast-paced environment
