This role is accountable for delivering consistent results in production performance, safety, biosecurity, and animal welfare, while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and alignment with The HANOR Way. • Sow production operations include breeding, gestation, farrowing, and piglet care
• Direct oversight of Department Heads and Animal Production Specialists
• Accountability for production performance, compliance, and daily execution of farm practices Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily farm operations to ensure compliance with production protocols, animal welfare, and biosecurity standards.
• Supervise, develop, and hold Department Heads and Animal Production Specialists accountable.
• Monitor herd health and partner with Veterinary Services to implement treatment and prevention protocols.
• Ensure accurate and timely production records, including animal movements, treatments, mortality, inventory, and KPIs.
• Maintain sanitation, environmental controls, and feeding systems to support optimal animal care and efficiency.
• Coordinate maintenance and repair of facilities, equipment, and farm infrastructure.
• Order and manage supplies to support uninterrupted operations.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Animal Welfare, Biosecurity, and HANOR Production Practices (HPP).
• Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify and correct operational or compliance issues.
• Drive employee engagement through coaching, training, and daily communication.
• Achieve production goals and performance expectations set by leadership. Qualifications
• Minimum 6 months leadership experience as a Department Head; 3+ years of sow production experience preferred.
• Competency in Basic & Advanced Breeding and Farrowing (HANOR Production Practices or equivalent).
• Swine production or agricultural experience strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
