Job Description
JOB The City of Beloit has an exciting employment opportunity within the Department of Public Works, Operations Division, as the Streets Supervisor. This position is responsible for supervisory work involving responsibility for the coordination of the daily work schedule of the Streets Work Group. The work includes responsibility for snow and ice operations, street repair, roadway signage, and street sweeping. The work involves organizing, planning and implementing work assignments and longer-term work projects. The work is performed under the general supervision of a Director of Operations and is characterized by the exercise of independent judgment and discretion to determine work methods, procedures, and problem solutions and is reviewed through reports, observation and periodic discussions. This position typically works Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
