Job Description

GST is seeking a Technical Operations Manager to support our customers in Fairmont, West Virginia.
Position Summary:
The Technical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT services division. This role involves managing a team of IT professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services to clients, driving continuous improvement in operations, and identifying key areas to expand business.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
Team Leadership and Management:
Lead and manage a team of IT engineers, technicians, and support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback. Allocate resources, assign tasks, and prioritize projects to ensure timely and effective delivery of IT services and support to our clients. Maintain a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability within the IT operations team.
Service Delivery and Client Management:
Oversee the delivery of managed IT services to our clients, including proactive monitoring, maintenance, and support of their IT environments. Prioritize customer feedback based on its impact on business objectives, customer satisfaction, and overall product/service quality. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and objectives to deliver tailored IT solutions and support.
IT Infrastructure Management:
Oversees the management of the systems used to deliver managed IT services, including troubleshooting software, ticketing systems, and documentation tools. Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of client IT environments, implementing best practices and industry standards for IT infrastructure management.
Process Improvement and Optimization:
Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize IT operations processes, workflows, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Implement IT service management (ITSM) best practices and frameworks to standardize operations and enhance service quality. Continuously monitor and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
Associate or Bachelors Degree in Technical Field with 10 Years experience working in small government IT environments. 10 years of experience working with Hardware, Software, Networking, Security, Implementation, Staff TrainingDevelopment, Cybersecurity, and advanced implementation and integration experience in County and Municipal IT environments.
