This position is responsible for accurately pulling, staging, and preparing customer orders, with a primary focus on interior and exterior doors stored in warehouse racking systems. A significant portion of this role involves manually handling and pulling doors weighing between 10 and 40 pounds throughout the workday. Employees will regularly work at elevated heights using an order picker (cherry picker) to access inventory stored in warehouse racks. Prior order picker experience is preferred but not required . We are willing to train motivated candidates who demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and are willing to learn. This is an active, labor-intensive position requiring frequent walking, standing, lifting, reaching, and operating material handling equipment. Safety, accuracy, and productivity are essential to success in this role. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Accurately pull customer orders consisting primarily of interior and exterior doors weighing approximately 10 to 40 pounds each . Operate an RF scanner to locate, pick, and verify inventory. Safely operate an order picker/cherry picker to retrieve products stored in elevated warehouse racking systems. Work comfortably and safely at heights while following all company safety procedures. Stage, organize, and prepare customer orders for delivery, shipment, or will-call pickup. Load, unload, move, and store inventory within designated warehouse locations. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory control activities. Keep assigned work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards. Assist with stocking inventory and replenishing warehouse locations. Follow customer orders, shipping documents, and work instructions to ensure order accuracy. Utilize forklifts and other warehouse equipment as assigned and certified. Assist with general warehouse operations and special projects as needed. Consistently follow OrePac's safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Order Picker / Cherry Picker Requirements Ability and willingness to operate an order picker/cherry picker at elevated heights. Previous order picker experience is preferred but not required. OrePac will provide training and certification for qualified candidates who are willing to learn. Ability to work safely while elevated and maintain focus in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Required Skills Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Strong attention to detail and commitment to order accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and multiplication. Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements. Ability to meet productivity expectations while maintaining quality standards. Preferred Qualifications Previous warehouse, distribution, or order-pulling experience. Experience operating forklifts, order pickers, cherry pickers, or other material handling equipment. Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems. Physical Demands Frequently lift, carry, and move doors weighing 10 to 40 pounds throughout the workday. Regularly stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently reach, bend, stoop, squat, and climb. Regularly work at elevated heights while operating an order picker/cherry picker. Ability to safely maneuver products in warehouse racking systems.
