JOB DESCRIPTION
Order selecting of items from pick slots using Voice pick equipment; staging pallets in proper staging lane on shipping dock; and loading merchandise onto trailer for outbound shipment. Ability to safely operate industrial powered equipment (i.e., ride on electric pallet jack, cherry picker, etc.) in high traffic fast-paced environment. Perform all daily task with focus following established process and attention to details.
Essential Duties:
Order select items from pick slots per pick ticket Stage outbound palletized units in appropriate staging area Load merchandise onto correct trailer for outbound delivery Move items from reserve locations to pick slot locations when necessary Performs housekeeping duties as assigned Other job tasks as assigned 0-3 Years of Experience, Responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, selecting the correct products from warehouse racking, labeling product using SOS label technology, palletizing product as it is selected to build customer orders, and delivering product to the dock in a safe and efficient manner. Hand selects orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer, operates assigned SOS unit to create labels, correctly places labels on product, stacks product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (e.g., no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.), stages pallets for loading on proper dock locations, stretch-wraps product on loading dock, maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, SOS unit, and personal protective equipment, and performs pre and post-trip inspections of equipment. Must follow Client Safe preferred work methods at all times and follow sanitation requirements in order to comply with policy set forth by Client and by AIB (American Institute of Baking). This position requires working until all products are accurately selected and loaded including potential overtime on holidays and weekends. Essential skills include the ability to meet or exceed minimum efficiency levels established through an engineered production standard, working rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift in a fast paced environment, meeting or exceeding established cases per error goals, and developing a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures. Basic requirements include being over the age of 18, the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements, basic arithmetic skills, and adequate physical fitness to lift up to 100 lbs regularly. Reports to Night Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
