Job Description

Order Entry Mencom Corporation, a US based manufacturer and distributor of industrial electrical connectors, currently has an opening in our Order Entry department in our Oakwood, Georgia headquarters. We are seeking a detail-oriented Order Entry Clerk to process our customer orders via manual entry and EDI.This position requires strong data entry skills, including typing speed and accuracy. They should be proficient in using computers. Attention to detail is crucial in this role in ensuring the accuracy of orders. Additionally, they should have good communication skills for interacting with other team members. The Order Entry Clerk responsibilities include entering customer orders into our database, reviewing orders for accuracy, notifying Account Managers of discrepancies, and providing order confirmations to customers. Ideal candidate has excellent data entry skills, a customer service mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

This role focuses on accurately and efficiently processing customer orders in a high-volume, fast-moving environment. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain speed without sacrificing accuracy are essential. Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, including product information, quantities and pricing. Ability to work well under pressure, managing high volumes of orders while maintaining accuracy and speed. Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and management. Updating customer records with order details including reading and verifying pricing on quotes. Ability to review orders for accuracy and resolve discrepancies before processing and escalating complex issues to the appropriate Account Manager.
