Office Clerk / Customer Payment Associate (Scrap Metal Facility)

About Us:

We are a busy scrap metal facility that works directly with distributors and walk-in customers. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented individual to join our office team.

Position Overview:

The Office Clerk / Payment Associate will be responsible for evaluating & handling customer payouts for scrap metal brought to our facility. This role includes customer service at the payment counter, trained material value assertion, money handling, and basic clerical office duties.

Schedule:

Full-time Monday-Friday, plus weekends

Responsibilities:

Process customer payments accurately and efficiently Handle cash transactions and maintain balanced records Assist with weighing trucks in and out as needed Provide efficient customer service to walk-in customers and distributors Perform general office and clerical tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

Bilingual (English & Spanish) required High school diploma or equivalent Previous money-handling or cashier experience Strong attention to detail and accuracy Dependable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
