N/A Position Summary:
Picks, packs, and ships orders in a safe, efficient, accurate manner. Responsible for receiving, counting, sorting and organizing daily shipments; As well as, replenishing inventory locations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Follows specific instructions regarding special projects that involve the repacking, labeling, sorting, and display assembly of product based on customer requirements. Verifies the accuracy of product count and product information against shipping and receiving documents, and checks product for damage. Use of RF scanner to process outbound orders and inbound receipts. Use computer and shipping software to process shipments. Reports shortages, damages, and mis-shipments to supervisor. Completes daily task paperwork accurately and entirely. Provides back up support to Material Handling Operators as required.
Marginal Functions:
Operates non-powered material handling equipment and propane or electric material handling equipment safely and efficiently as needed. Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs cycle counts or verification of inventory quantities and locations. Assist the Warehouse team in daily tasks as needed or special projects.
Job Specifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent, preferred 2. Basic reading and math skills 3. Must be computer literate 4. Previous Microsoft Excel experience, preferred 5. Must acquire forklift certification upon hire; prefer 3-5 years prior experience operating a forklift in a high volume environment. 6. Demonstrated problem solving abilities 7. Previous experience in an Automotive Distribution Environment, preferred 8. Previous experience with Continuous Improvement Plans and Lean Manufacturing techniques, preferred 9. Familiarity with SOX Compliance Requirements and OSHA Regulations, preferred 10. Familiarity with SDS/Hazmat Safety, preferred 11. Must be able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately. 12. Able to lift up to 50 lbs safely as required. 13. Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills.
