Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring that all inventory movements are handled with precision and timeliness. Your expertise in warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and equipment operation will help maintain seamless warehouse operations, support order accuracy, and enhance overall customer satisfaction. Duties Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments using RF scanners and warehouse management systems to ensure accuracy and completeness. Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately using order pickers, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and forklifts. Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to safety protocols, utilizing equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. Manage stock levels through proper stocking procedures, inventory control, and data entry into MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems like AS400. Maintain organized storage areas for easy retrieval of products, ensuring compliance with warehouse distribution standards. Assist with order fulfillment processes for e-commerce platforms by accurately picking and packing customer orders. Conduct regular stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and update inventory records to support warehouse distribution accuracy. Requirements Proven warehouse experience with a strong understanding of shipping & receiving operations. Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely and efficiently. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 or similar ERP systems like MRPs is preferred. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking and packing processes. Experience with order picker equipment for efficient order fulfillment in fast-paced environments. Knowledge of packaging techniques suitable for various products to ensure safe delivery. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management and stock control. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining safety standards.
