We provide convenient, safe and reliable prescription solutions that make medication management easier for individuals and assisted living, independent living and memory care communities. We have an immediate career opportunity for an experienced, accurate and fast Medical Order Entry Specialist to join our order entry team.
    Job Description:
    The Medical Order Entry Specialist is responsible for processing prescriptions accurately and efficiently in a high-volume setting.
    • The essential functions include, but are not limited to:
    • Ensuring all prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently
    • Effectively transcribing prescriptions
    • Handling incoming fax, email and telephone communication to fulfill the needs of group homes and assisted living patients and their caregivers
    • Properly handling order exceptions such as prior authorization, drug not covered, incomplete orders, etc.
    • Resolving common pharmacy order entry problems quickly and efficiently, such as third-party rejections or processing issues
    • Delivering outstanding customer service and patient care The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed.

    Qualifications and Responsibilities:
    • 2+ years previous order entry experience preferred, but not required
    • Pharmacy technician license in Massachusetts and National Certification
    • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a high-volume, time-sensitive and fast-paced environment
    • Excellent time management, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Strong computer and data entry skills
    • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors
    • Positive attitude and team player
    • Sense of urgency
    • Strong math skills

    Part Time Pay:
    Up to $25 per hour
    Work Location:
    One location/
    Springfield Hours:
    Flexible schedule required; 6-hour schedule between the hours of Monday-Friday 8 AM-6 PM; with rotating Saturdays 9 AM-3 PM Background and drug testing is required.
    Job Types:

    $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
