Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Order Entry Clerk to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This contract to hire position offers an excellent opportunity to work in the manufacturing industry, ensuring the smooth processing of orders and maintaining accurate information within our systems. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming orders promptly and accurately, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Review documentation provided by clinicians to confirm adherence to payer medical policy standards.
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits for durable medical equipment with health insurance providers.
- Determine and manage authorization requirements and processes for payers regarding durable medical equipment.
- Submit authorization requests to commercial payers and track their status to ensure timely approvals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians and clinic staff to gather necessary documentation for insurance claims.
- Record patient insurance benefits in the database, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Update and manage patient records and database entries with precision and attention to detail.
- Act as a liaison between customers, clinicians, healthcare teams, and patients to obtain required paperwork for order fulfillment.
- Participate in team training sessions to stay informed about updates and best practices. Requirements
- Proven experience in data entry and order management, preferably within a manufacturing or healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in numeric and alphanumeric data entry with high accuracy.
- Familiarity with typing and computer-based data entry systems.
- Strong knowledge of order entry and fulfillment processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Outstanding communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze and verify detailed information to ensure compliance.
- Experience with database management and record-keeping systems.
