Job Description
About Our Company J.L. Smith & Co. is a team of more than 30 people and the parent company of Flute World, along with several other brands serving the niche woodwind instrument industry. What began as a one-person repair shop in 1991 has grown into a company that manufactures tools, supplies, and parts for instrument technicians while also selling flutes, piccolos, sheet music, and accessories. Our fulfillment team receives, picks, packs, and ships products to distributors, dealers, and customers around the world. Our warehouse operates alongside the rest of our business, with Instrument Servicing, Machining, Production, Flute Sales, Client Experience, and Marketing all working under the same roof. Unlike a large distribution center, our team works in a close-knit environment where quality, craftsmanship, and customer service matter as much as speed. Main Responsibilities Receive and shelve products in our warehouse Pick orders with minimal errors Pack and ship orders with care Work on small projects to improve the business Actively participate in weekly meetings Maintain and clean up area of work Qualifications and Requirements Sense of hustle and urgency Pride in your work Team player that leads by example Strong attention to detail Ability to pick and count small parts accurately and quickly Ability to read small print Ability to focus throughout the work day Ability to lift heavy boxes (around 25 lbs.)
