Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Order Processing to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing customer orders, supporting daily office operations, and providing excellent customer service. Your efforts will help ensure accurate order processing, smooth communication between departments, and efficient day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment. Experience with QuickBooks, order entry, customer communication, and administrative support is strongly preferred. Responsibilities Process customer purchase orders and sales orders accurately and efficiently Enter and manage orders within QuickBooks and related systems Assist with EDI and SPS Commerce order processing and document management Coordinate with warehouse and shipping departments to ensure timely fulfillment Communicate with customers regarding order status, shipping updates, product questions, and billing inquiries Maintain accurate customer records, order documentation, and internal files Monitor incoming emails and respond professionally to customer and vendor inquiries Assist with invoice processing and general administrative support tasks Identify and resolve order discrepancies, shipping issues, or processing delays proactively Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflow efficiency and order management processes Support general office operations and assist with additional projects as needed Skills Previous experience in order processing, customer service, administrative support, or office coordination roles Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred Familiarity with
EDI, SPS
Commerce, or wholesale/distribution order processing preferred Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, email communication, and general computer systems Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment Professional attitude with a dependable work ethic Job Type Full-time Pay $22.00 - $26.00 per hour, based on experience Schedule Monday to Friday Location South Paterson, NJ Benefits Paid time off Employee discount Growth opportunities Stable family-owned business environment Company Overview Excel Blades is a family-owned manufacturer specializing in precision knives, blades, and hand tools for industrial, hardware, arts and crafts, and retail markets.
