You will be doing hand packing of varying sizes of notebooks and paper products, as well as packing/feeding machines. This will require a lot of standing, kneeling, bending, and stacking. You may also be required to use permanent markers to mark boxes. If you are unable to perform any of these tasks, please notify your temp agency representative as soon as possible. Responsibilities:
Pick customer orders Pack items into master cartons Prepare products for shipment Label cartons and pallets, and wrap loads securely for transportation Inspect the quality of goods received or shipped, and verify items against pick lists Process shipments for carriers like UPS/FedEx Materials within the facility, and maintain a clean work area Education:
High School High School or GED Physical:
Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs) Standing / Walking Repetitive Motion Bending / Stooping / Kneeling Pushing / Pulling Cold Environments Hot Environments Skills:
Ability to read pick lists, verify inventory levels, and correctly count, stack, and pack products. Capability to perform basic arithmetic and basic data entry on computers, as well as use warehouse management software and barcode scanners. Cursory visual inspection to reject faulty or damaged units before packaging. Experience using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, stretch wrappers, and the ability to push heavy cartons through tape machines. Strict adherence to OSHA standards, safety policies (e.g., wearing proper guard and hearing protection), and maintenance of a clean work environment's. Stamina for continuous bending, stooping, reaching, and walking, as well as the ability to endure variable manufacturing plant or warehouse temperatures Industry:
