Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Order Selector to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently selecting, packing, and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with warehouse management systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to seamless warehouse distribution operations while utilizing heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks. Duties Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and order picker equipment, ensuring correct items and quantities. Operate heavy machinery including reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Manage shipping and receiving processes by preparing orders for dispatch and verifying incoming stock against purchase orders. Conduct quality control checks during picking and packing to ensure product integrity and order accuracy. Assist with inventory stocking, replenishment, and cycle counts using warehouse management systems. Pack items securely for shipment, applying appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and maintain safety standards. Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and maintaining a clean work environment. Perform heavy lifting as required to handle large or bulky items safely. Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance on heavy machinery. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations, including order picking, packing, shipping & receiving, and inventory management. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners. Valid certification or experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks; forklift certification preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely. Experience in warehouse supervision or team leadership is a plus. Knowledge of materials handling techniques and safety protocols in a distribution environment. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order fulfillment processes. Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members across various functions.
