  • 22/hour (DOE) About the Role LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Purchasing Clerk / Customer Fulfillment Representative for a contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a distribution-focused operation in the Houston area.
This role is a key part of the Branch sales team, providing high-level customer support through order processing, procurement coordination, expediting, and ongoing customer communication. The ideal candidate is customer-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position may also provide front desk support, including phone coverage and assisting visitors as needed. Key Responsibilities Handle procurement requests and issue purchase orders (POs) to vendors Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders via phone, email, instant messaging, and web-based tools throughout the order-to-remittance process Support and continuously improve customer service levels to exceed customer requirements and expectations Act as an extension of the Branch sales team and Global Sales Organization to support key initiatives and ensure customer satisfaction standards are met Proactively manage open customer order data to maximize fill rates and overall customer satisfaction Provide front desk support as needed, including phone coverage and visitor assistance Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Strong customer service mindset with a high level of motivation Proven problem-solving ability with strong attention to detail Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines Required Skills Proficient computer skills with demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office , particularly Excel Experience with Business Objects, automated order entry systems, and other internet-based tools Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required Solid verbal and written communication skills Bilingual in Spanish is a plus, but not required Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in Customer Service, Sales, or a related role Customer service experience within the distribution industry preferred Proven experience mining, analyzing, and reporting on large data sets
Pay Details:
