Monthly. What if you could create a reading experience that makes you feel as though you were physically a part of your favorite book? Once Upon a Book Club is a monthly subscription box that brings books to life for our readers! Each month, subscribers receive a newly released novel and 3-5 wrapped gifts labeled with page numbers. As they read, they are prompted to pen their gifts on the specified page numbers to pull items right out of the pages of the stories and place them in their hands. Just like a real-life book club, our virtual Book Club Community is bustling with fellow readers who want to discuss their current reads, upcoming releases, and more! Discussion questions and author meet-and-greets bring the experience to a whole new level by creating a unique and interactive journey through reading. OUABC is hiring temporary assistance for our fulfillment and warehouse team! The Temporary Fulfillment Specialist will be responsible for monitoring the storage, delivery, and inventory of goods, ensuring that product is packed, shipped, and stored quickly and efficiently, and package and wrap products as needed for monthly and special edition boxes.

Job Title:

Fulfillment Specialist (Full-Time, Temporary) This position is M-F between 8am - 3pm. This is a temporary position for roughly ~2 weeks of work in our warehouse in Tempe, AZ.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitoring inventory and keeping track of product inventory. Packing and shipping shop orders and monthly subscription boxes as well as extra, limited edition boxes. Accepting shipments of products upon delivery. Packaging and wrapping gifts. Inserting stickers in/on books Operating Shipstation account and printing labels Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a warehouse or packaging. Previous experience and knowledge operating a forklift. Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted. Ability to work 8 hours in a standard warehouse environment. Ability to prioritize and multitask Organized and independently motivated Positive and professional demeanor Excellent verbal communication skills A love of books and reading doesn't hurt! The interview for this position would be a paid, working interview at a rate of $17.50/hour via Visa Gift Card for 2 hours ($35 gift card) during a typical shift to see how you fit in with the team and handle some of the typical duties assigned throughout the day. The gift card would be provided at the end of the working interview.
