Warehouse Picker and Packer

SUMMARY . Under general supervision, the Warehouse Worker will operate industrial forklifts equipped to move materials around warehouse. The Warehouse Worker will also pick, assemble and package for shipping customer orders. The Warehouse Worker will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of all products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1

) Load and unload freight using equipment in an efficient and safe manner. 2) Move product to storage areas with proper equipment. 3) Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate area. 4) Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently. 5) Pick orders for shipment and assemble various types of merchandise to be shipped. 6) Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation. 7) Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. 8) Conduct operations in a manner, which promotes safety. 9) Participate in physical inventories, as needed. 10) Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking. 11) Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Equipment to include (but not limited to) stand up forklift, pallet jacks, and computers. 12) Report all safety malfunctions on equipment. 13) Comply with OSHA standards. 14) Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work environment. 15) Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements Required Experience:

1) Requires high school diploma or equivalent and relevant certifications 2) Requires ability to work independently 3) Must be able to work varied schedule as needed 4) Requires some computer skills 5) Requires the ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. 1) May be required to tolerate working environment with inside controlled temperatures of 75 degrees Fahrenheit and outside ambient temperatures (including heat, cold and precipitation) 2) Must tolerate heights up to 20 ft. and be able to access elevated products from inside lift equipment 3) Requires tolerance of standing posture up to 7 hours, over an 8-hour shift 4) Occasionally works overtime, evenings, or weekends in order to complete work or to attend meetings 5) Must transfer boxes weighing up to 66 lbs. from ground level to 80 inches in height 6) Lifting and carrying product a distance of 6 ft. without mechanical assistance.
