Order Picker/Packer

We are searching for a full-time team member to be part of our shipping & receiving operations team. This open position is for the Order Picker/Packer position. In the Order Picker/Packer position, you will work in our distribution center, picking, packing, labeling, and staging incoming and outgoing shipments. Our ideal applicant has at least 1 year of general warehouse or order picking experience. However, we will work with any applicants that are adaptable, willing to learn, have strong work ethic, integrity, motivation, and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

Receive orders for outgoing shipments Locate products on warehouse shelves Pack products into boxes, envelopes, bubble mailers, pallets and other forms of packaging. Pull the dimensions and weight of outgoing shipments. Apply shipping labels to outgoing shipments Maintain a clean and organized workspace Assist other team members with larger orders or projects. Assemble products into kits. Aid in maintaining control of our inventory: cycle counts, product consolidation, filling out inventory adjustment forms, etc.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Be able to read and understand picking tickets, packing slips, purchase orders and other forms of supply chain documentation. Be able to identify product in the warehouse using item codes, item descriptions and units of measure Be able to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions. Be detail oriented Experience picking and packing orders Experience safely operating sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks/wagons Experience in building, wrapping and strapping items onto pallets Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting and moving items ranging from 1 to 75 pounds. Standing for long periods of time.

Repetitive Movements:

bending over, kneeling, reaching, loading items onto carts and wagons, taping packages closed, pallet building, pallet wrapping, etc. Must be able to read and write in English This Job Is Ideal for

Benefit Conditions:

We require all new-hires to participate in a 90-day introductory period before benefits take effect.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Possibility of overtime during peak seasons

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
