 The 

PRODUCT CONTROL WORKER

• receives palletized or crated product and organizes by type using a pallet jack, loading trucks based on load sheets, scanning products, inventory checks, and bin audits. May also move or stack product by hand to boxes or crates. May stretch-wrap stacks or pallets by hand or machine as needed. May require using hands to grip a metal case hook to occasionally pull or push heavy stacks of milk weighing up to 330lbs across diamond plate platform; must be physically able to lift up to 75lbs on occasion. Work is conducted in a cold environment which averages 35° degrees Fahrenheit. Checks temperatures and completes paperwork. Other duties as assigned. Requires the ability to speak, read and understand English. Heavy labor experience in a similar environment is preferred.

 While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to grip, handle, or write; talk or hear and taste or smell. Job Duties:

The Plant Palletizer•receives dairy products from the milk processing plant and assembles containers in the refrigerated warehouse on pallets according to specific type, size and category. Must be able to work a flexible schedule. Assists machine operators. Requires using hands to grip a metal case hook for repetitive pulling/pushing of heavy stacks of milk weighing up to 330lbs across diamond plate platform; must be physically able to lift up to 75lbs on occasion. May work on the empty case dock moving stacks of empty cases as needed. Work is conducted in a cold environment which averages 35 degrees Fahrenheit. May work outdoors. Provides quality control, housekeeping and other duties as assigned. Requires the ability to speak and understand English.

Similar experience in the Food Manufacturing environment with heavy labor experience is preferred. Job Duties A machine operator follows food safety guidelines while donning appropriate PPE for each duty as required. Operates production equipment ensuring safety, quality and accuracy from beginning to end. Completes data entry, sampling and paperwork as required. Performs machine troubleshooting and resolves basic issues. Performs housekeeping at workstation and basic machine cleaning after product runs. Works as a team; trains or helps others as needed and where needed as directed. Communicates effectively and efficiently with supervision regarding production issues. Contributes to team success with consistent and punctual attendance. Other tasks may be added based on the needs of the department.

Skills Needed:

Basic speaking, reading and writing in English for data entry and paperwork.

Ideal Candidate Criteria :

Responsible for developing, administering, and maintaining applicable Food Safety Programs and Policies; implementation and continuous improvement of food safety focused programs including but not limited to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), SQF, HACCP, and SSOP's. Interacts and guides employees at the direction of the Plant Manager.

Job Duties :

Responsible for establishing, implementing and directing QC/ Food safety efforts to ensure compliance with legal regulations and quality standards. Develop, initiate and improve processes as required or directed. Work closely with Quality Control Manager, and production employees to ensure conformance to company standards. Verify critical control point procedures and parameters for completion as per Established Food Safety Program. Review and edit SSOP's, GMP's, and HACCP plans as needed. Verify sanitation procedures through pre-operational inspection, ATP and microbial swab analysis. Conduct monthly facility internal inspections/audits and act as main contact for third party audits. Verify process procedures to ensure compliance of finished product and raw materials to established specifications. Perform raw ingredient and finished product evaluation to ensure compliance to current specifications. Develop and update raw material specifications using supplier documentation and enforce quality standards. Manage all food safety and quality-related functions at the manufacturing facility. Oversee and control all plant documentation and assume leadership role to ensure a safe work environment that efficiently manufactures highest quality products per customer specifications. As an SQF (Safe Quality Food) Practitioner, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards within the organization. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the SQF system, including the documentation and management of all related processes. Additionally, you will serve as the primary point of contact for SQF certification audits and regulatory inspections. Prompt and regular attendance. Other duties as assigned.

Skills Needed :

Experience working in a lab is preferred, previous auditing experience with SQF is preferred, attention to detail, internal/external auditing experience is a plus. Knowledge of math skills, computer, ability to read/interpret documents, and write routine reports/correspondence. May perform other duties as assigned, work as part of a team, maintain a clean/sanitary/safe work area. Requires accuracy and attention to detail. English language proficiency required.
