Order Picker - Standard (Day Shift) Job Description This contract role supports a large paint packaging facility by accurately pulling, labeling, and packaging orders during the day shift. You work primarily with inventory and labeling tasks, with occasional movement of paint containers within the warehouse. This is an entry-level opportunity with the potential to transition to a permanent position and grow within a stable, family-oriented environment. 1st shift - 5:30am to 2pm $20.50/hr Responsibilities Pull customer orders accurately and efficiently using provided order information and tools. Package orders according to established procedures to ensure safe and secure shipment. Perform labeling and relabeling of paint containers and packages as required. Assist with inventory activities, including counting, organizing, and tracking stock. Use RF scanners and other warehouse equipment to locate, pick, and verify products. Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing orders for outbound shipment and assisting with incoming materials as needed. Move gallons of paint and other products around the warehouse, lifting up to approximately 50 pounds as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with warehouse safety standards. Follow all production, general labor, and warehouse packing procedures to meet daily performance and quality goals. Work cooperatively with team members and supervisors to complete tasks and meet deadlines during the scheduled day shift. Essential Skills Ability to work day shift hours from approximately 5:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Capability to lift and move items weighing up to about 50 pounds on a regular basis. Comfort working in a warehouse environment performing physical, hands-on tasks. High school diploma or equivalent. Entry-level readiness with no prior warehouse experience required. Willingness to wear steel-toed shoes and follow all safety requirements. Ability to perform basic order pulling, packaging, and general labor tasks reliably and accurately. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with warehouse operations such as order picking, shipping and receiving, and inventory control is helpful but not required. Experience using RF scanners to pick and verify orders is a plus. Attention to detail for accurate labeling, relabeling, and inventory work. Reliability and strong work ethic to consistently complete a standard 40-hour workweek. Openness to starting in a contract role with the potential to convert to a permanent position. Why Work Here?
