Job Summary:

We seek an individual who can collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, provide problem-solving skills, and communicate effectively. The role of material preparation is to ensure that raw materials and components are correctly prepared and delivered to the production line, contributing to overall production efficiency and quality. As a Production Material Prepper you will: Material inspection : Inspect incoming raw materials, components, or supplies to ensure they meet quality and quantity specifications. Report any defects or discrepancies to the appropriate department. Safe handling : Safely handle, transport, and distribute materials to various production areas, following established safety procedures and guidelines. Equipment maintenance : Regularly clean and maintain equipment and tools used for material preparation to ensure proper function and safety. Machinery operation : Operate cutting, shaping tools, and machinery to prepare materials (cutting, drilling, trimming) according to specific measurements and specifications. Team communication : Collaborate with teammates and supervisors to maintain efficient workflow, troubleshoot problems, and ensure a productive environment. Blade operation : Use proper blade speeds and feeds for the given material to ensure precision and safety. Surface preparation : Sand, deburr, and prepare materials according to Flotron's standards. Workplace cleanliness : Maintain a high state of cleanliness in all work areas. Safety awareness : Demonstrate concern for the safety of self and others at all times. Physical requirements : Lift up to 49 lbs manually and use lifting equipment for heavier loads. Forklift operation : Safely operate a forklift to move and position materials. The ideal candidate will have:

Documentation accuracy : Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete all required documentation. Microsoft programs : Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint. Independent work : Ability to carry out tasks efficiently without constant supervision. Deadline management : Strong ability to meet deadlines consistently. Logical reasoning : Apply practical and logical reasoning to complete tasks successfully. Direction comprehension : Capacity to understand, retain, and execute verbal and written instructions. Team collaboration : Open-minded team player, receptive to feedback, motivated to grow within the role. Focus and concentration : Ability to stay focused on tasks without distraction. Communication skills : Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
