$20.00-$25.00 per hour
Job Type:
Part-time / temporary / project-based
Benefits:
Flexible scheduling. No health insurance, retirement, paid time off, or other traditional employee benefits are offered for this role. About Bovella Dairy Bovella Dairy is a new Colorado real dairy, lactose-free ice cream brand made with organic Colorado milk. We are growing and looking for reliable hands-on production help. This role is not just packing boxes or standing around. I need someone who is comfortable in a commissary kitchen, can follow recipes exactly, understands cleanliness, and can help make the pieces that go into premium ice cream. That may mean baking cookies, making sauces, prepping mix-ins, measuring ingredients, making butter from scratch, packing pints, labeling containers, cleaning, organizing, and helping keep production days moving. This is a good fit for someone with bakery, pastry, commissary kitchen, prep cook, production kitchen, or food manufacturing experience. What You May Help With Responsibilities may include: Baking cookies, brownies, or other ice cream inclusions Making butter, sauces, ribbons, crumbles, or other mix-ins from scratch Measuring ingredients accurately by weight Following recipes and production instructions exactly Preparing ingredients and packaging before production Packing ice cream pints and cups Labeling containers accurately Organizing ingredients, supplies, packaging, and inventory Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, tools, and equipment Helping with setup and breakdown in a commercial/commissary kitchen Keeping production moving efficiently without cutting corners Who This Role Is For This may be a good fit if you: Have bakery, pastry, prep cook, commissary kitchen, or food production experience Can follow recipes exactly without improvising Are comfortable measuring in grams and following written steps Care about cleanliness and food safety Can stand for several hours and work with urgency Are detail-oriented and organized Can handle repetitive tasks like packing and labeling Are reliable and show up when scheduled Can work independently after being shown what to do Like small food brands, real ingredients, and hands-on work Who This Role Is Not For This is probably not the right fit if you: Prefer to "wing it" instead of following recipes Do not like repetitive production work Need constant direction to stay on task Are uncomfortable in a commercial kitchen Do not enjoy baking, prep, or hands-on food work Are careless with measurements, labels, cleaning, or timing Need a perfectly predictable weekly schedule Schedule This is part-time, project-based work. Hours will vary depending on production needs, kitchen availability, packaging deadlines, and order volume. Some weeks may have no hours. Other weeks may need multiple days of help, especially around production runs.
Experience Preferred Helpful experience includes:
Bakery production Pastry prep Commissary kitchen work Prep cook work Commercial kitchen work Food manufacturing Ice cream, chocolate, coffee, bakery, catering, or packaged food production Packing, labeling, inventory, or assembly work Experience is helpful, but reliability, speed, cleanliness, and the ability to follow instructions matter most. Work Location In person in Denver, CO, near the National Western Complex. How to Apply Please apply with your resume or a short summary of your experience. In your application, please include: Your bakery, kitchen, commissary, or food production experience Whether you are comfortable following exact recipes and measurements Your general availability Whether you are available for project-based work with variable hours Your favorite ice cream flavor Thoughtful answers will be reviewed first.
