Located in Denver's Sunnyside neighborhood, Crooked Stave is internationally recognized for its complex and creative wild and sour barrel-aged beers, as well as a diverse lineup of traditional and experimental ales and lagers. Position Overview The Packaging Assistant plays a key role in ensuring products are prepared, packaged, and labeled accurately and efficiently for distribution. This position supports daily operations by maintaining quality standards, following safety procedures, and contributing to a smooth production workflow. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role requiring strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality. Reporting Relationships The Packaging Assistant reports to the Packaging Lead and Operations Manager. Essential Roles & Responsibilities Packaging Support Assist with packaging operations, including kegging, bottling, and canning Clean, sanitize, and maintain packaging equipment, kegs, hoses, lines, and work areas Monitor product quality during packaging runs and report any issues promptly Perform basic quality checks (e.g., visual inspections, fill levels, seam checks) Maintain accurate counts of packaged products and assist with documentation Follow all SOPs related to packaging, sanitation, safety, and quality control Required Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in a brewery, beverage production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred Ability to lift and maneuver 55+ lbs regularly; move up to 165 lbs with assistance Comfortable working in loud, wet, hot, and cold environments Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn Must be 21+ and authorized to work in the United States Schedule & Compensation Part-time, hourly position $20.00-$21.50/hour + shared production tips Typical schedule: 2-3 days per week, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Our Culture At Crooked Stave, every team member has an immediate impact and a voice.
