Job Description

The Packaging Assistant supports packaging operations within the brewery's production facility, ensuring product quality, equipment functionality, and adherence to safety and efficiency standards. This role involves operating and maintaining packaging equipment, managing inventories, and collaborating with various departments to meet production goals. Job Duties and Responsibilities Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain packaging equipment for canning and bottling. Ensure safety and quality standards are met throughout packaging processes. Support inventory management and procurement of packaging materials. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace. Collaborate with brewing and cellar departments to ensure smooth production flow. Monitor and improve production efficiency and yields. Record and analyze production metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement changes. Support maintenance plans and preventative measures for packaging equipment. Maintain accurate record-keeping, logs, and reporting. Provide support to other departments, including shipping, receiving, and brewing, as needed. Qualifications Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal). Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated and detail-oriented. Ability to adapt to changing workloads and thrive in a team environment. Good judgment, decision-making skills. Mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and repair equipment. Forklift experience (preferred). Flexible schedule and adaptability to change. Strong organizational and cleanliness standards. Understanding of health and safety compliance. Physical ability to lift at least 55 lbs. and be on feet for extended periods. Growth Opportunity Entry level position with potential to grow into a cellaring role and ultimately into brewing.
