This role involves operating elevated lift equipment to retrieve and stack items from high-level shelving, fulfilling customer orders, and managing inventory while maintaining a strict focus on safety. Key Responsibilities Equipment Operation:
Safely drive and maneuver cherry picker equipment, accessing items up to 30 feet high. Order Fulfillment:
Pull correct items from inventory using pick tickets or RF scanner instructions, ensuring accuracy and item integrity. Inventory Management:
Update stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and report discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors. Safety Compliance:
Follow OSHA regulations and all company safety protocols—including wearing a properly fitted safety harness at all times while working at heights. General Warehousing:
Prepare orders for shipment (shrink-wrapping, labeling, staging) and assist with loading/unloading delivery trucks. Qualifications & Requirements Certifications:
Valid powered industrial truck (PIT) or cherry picker certification (on-site testing) Experience:
Minimum 1 year of Cherry Picker or forklift operation experience. Physical Demands:
Comfortable working at significant heights; ability to stand, bend, and lift 50-100 lbs as required. Skills:
Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, balance, and basic math and computer/scanning abilities. Work Environment Setting:
Fast-paced distribution centers, fulfillment warehouses, or big-box retail backrooms. Conditions:
Often working in non-temperature-controlled environments. Attire:
Strict safety dress codes including steel-toed boots, high-visibility vests, and appropriate sleeve/pant requirements.
