Job Description

Job Title:
Shipping Picker Job Description This role supports daily shipping operations by accurately picking, packing, labeling, and preparing customer orders for outbound shipment. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled facility and handle physical tasks throughout the shift while using basic computer systems and scanning tools to ensure orders ship correctly and on time. Responsibilities Pick parts and materials for customer orders based on instructions provided through the computer system. Accurately pack items into boxes to ensure safe, secure, and damage-free shipment. Label packages correctly according to shipping and carrier requirements. Verify order accuracy before shipment to maintain quality and reduce errors. Assist with loading trucks and moving materials within the shipping area as needed. Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading materials. Use RF scanners and data entry tools to track orders and update shipping information in the computer system. Follow established safety and quality procedures while working in the shipping area. Essential Skills Previous experience with packing, picking, order picking, or picking and packing in a warehouse or shipping environment. Ability to use a computer for basic tasks such as data entry and order lookup. Experience with shipping and receiving processes. Ability to use an RF scanner to locate, pick, and track items. Capability to load product onto trucks safely and efficiently. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and handling materials throughout the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with loading, unloading, and receiving materials. Forklift experience or familiarity with material handling equipment. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive orders. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate picking, packing, and labeling. Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility is clean and climate controlled, providing a comfortable and organized work setting. The role follows a first-shift schedule, typically from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. You will work in a shipping and warehouse environment that uses computers, RF scanners, and material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. The work involves standing, walking, and handling materials throughout the day while collaborating with team members in the shipping and receiving areas. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
