Job Description

Job Summary The Roll Wrapper is responsible for supporting production operations through precise material handling, wrapping, labeling, rerolling, and core cutting tasks. This role ensures that 3-foot and 4-foot rolls are accurately wrapped and labeled according to company standards, while maintaining a strong focus on quality assurance and safety compliance. The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail, follows established procedures, and contributes to a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities Material Handling:
Help load and align materials on the machine to ensure accurate cutting.
Monitor and Wrap:
3-foot and 4-foot rolls at the wrapping station, verifying wrap integrity and labeling accuracy.
Labeling Rolls:
Verify that all wrapped rolls receive three labels: one for product type, one for batch number, and one for quality status. Labels must be legible, securely affixed, and positioned per company guidelines. Cut Cores to designated lengths based on production specifications.
Reroll:
Inspect wrapped rolls for defects or misalignment. Reroll and rewrap any nonconforming materials to meet quality specifications before final labeling.
Quality Assurance:
Assist in inspecting processed materials to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean, organized work area to support a safe and efficient production environment.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all established safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Qualifications Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is preferred. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods. Manual dexterity and ability to handle small tools and parts. Ability to lift and move heavy rolls of carpet.
Additional Responsibilities:
The employee shall undertake any additional tasks as required by the company, in line with the job description and under the guidance and supervision of the company. These tasks will be performed at times and locations deemed reasonable by the company.
Pay:
$15.50 per hour
