Position Overview An Order Picker operates in a warehouse or distribution center, responsible for accurately selecting, scanning, and staging items from shelves for customer orders. They use RF scanners, operate machinery like forklifts or pallet jacks, and ensure orders are packed safely for shipment. The role requires high attention to detail, physical stamina for lifting, and efficiency to meet productivity targets.

Key Responsibilities and Duties Order Selection:

Locate and pull products from storage areas based on pick sheets or digital orders.

Accuracy Verification:

Use RF scanners to verify items, ensuring the correct product and quantity is picked to avoid errors.

Equipment Operation:

Safely operate warehouse machinery, including forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and reach trucks.

Packing and Staging:

Transport items to the packing station and prepare them for shipping.

Inventory Control:

Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to reflect picked items.

Safety Adherence:

Maintain a clean work area and comply with all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment.

Key Requirements and Skills Physical Stamina:

Ability to stand/walk for long periods and lift heavy objects, typically up to 40-50 lbs.

Technical Skills:

Experience with RF scanners and familiarity with WMS software. Attention to

Education:

High school diploma or GED is generally required.
