Lead Operator - Receiving

Job Description The lead operator in receiving is responsible for leading a small team on the receiving dock, ensuring efficient operations and accurate documentation. Responsibilities Ensure accurate recording and disposal of scrap daily. Complete rework at the end of each day. Check, verify, and inspect all shipments. Confirm packing list and bill of lading with material received on the dock. Create labels for all incoming loads. Scan all loads with a handheld scanner. Enter receipts into IQMS. Keep accurate records. Contact planners as necessary with discrepancies. Essential Skills Experience in leadership, minimum team lead level. Experience with sit-down forklift preferred. Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift as needed. Experience tracking incoming shipments in a computer-based tracking system. Experience in receiving within a warehouse environment. Capability to lift 10lbs regularly, 25lbs frequently, and 50lbs occasionally. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in manufacturing with understanding of deadlines associated with material delivery to the production area. Proficiency in ERP software, SAP, and RF scanners. Skills in wrapping, order pulling, palletizing, packing, sorting, order picking, and packaging. Why Work Here? Work Environment The facility operates efficiently with bright and organized spaces, though certain production areas can be cramped. The environment is not air-conditioned, leading to warmer temperatures in the summer near machinery. Safety gear such as safety glasses and closed-toed shoes are required, with gloves provided in some areas. Shifts include 1st shift from 6am to 2:30pm and 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 11:30pm, Monday through Friday, with potential for overtime including weekends, totaling approximately 50 hours per week. This is an hourly position paying $19.50 and includes OT pay for hours over 40 Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lafayette, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40560.00 - $40560.00/yr.
