Job Title:
Picker and Packer Job Description This role supports a busy first-shift warehouse operation by accurately picking, packing, and preparing products for shipment. You will work at a packing station, follow packing lists, and handle various tasks throughout the day, including boxing, weighing, taping, labeling, and palletizing orders. The position offers a stable Monday-Friday schedule in a clean, team-oriented environment, with opportunities to learn and operate a steady packing machine. Responsibilities Pack products into boxes according to the packing list and appropriate box size. Work at a designated packing station to prepare orders for shipment. Weigh packed boxes to ensure accuracy and compliance with shipping requirements. Tape and securely seal boxes to protect products during transit. Label boxes correctly with all required information for shipment. Place completed boxes onto pallets in an organized and safe manner. Rotate between packing, taping and labeling, and palletizing tasks throughout the day. Follow written work instructions in English to complete daily tasks accurately. Operate a steady packing machine as needed after appropriate training. Collaborate with team members and support a positive, team-oriented work environment. Adhere to all safety procedures and successfully complete required safety training and testing. Essential Skills High school education or equivalent. Ideally at least 6 months of experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role. Ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment. Good communication skills. Strong attention to detail when following packing lists and instructions. Ability to follow written work instructions in English. Safety-conscious mindset and commitment to following safety procedures. Ability to pass a safety test after watching a safety video. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience with picking, packing, and warehouse packing tasks. Experience operating any type of machine in a production or warehouse environment. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and quality. Why Work Here? Work Environment This is a first-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The facility offers a clean, organized, and team-oriented warehouse setting with designated packing stations and palletizing areas. You may operate a steady packing machine as part of your daily tasks. Steel-toed boots are required, and eye and hearing protection may be needed depending on the specific building and area; eye and hearing protection will be provided. The environment emphasizes safety, adherence to procedures, and collaboration with coworkers throughout the shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Agawam, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.80 - $19.80/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
