Caviar Packer

Island Creek Oysters (ICO) is a mission-based brand engaged in promoting the development of aquaculture's role in our food systems—locally and globally. The role of Caviar Packer will include regimented daily tasks, and strict sanitation and cleanliness practice to ensure quality and safety to our customers. Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work station are of the utmost importance to the success of this role. This role will offer a great opportunity to learn about an interesting product, and can provide a somewhat flexible schedule with clear communication with the manager. This is an hourly position (25-40 hours) with benefits. Peak business dates including holidays and the summer season may require additional hours. Pay range of $23-$25 per hour. Production Manager, Caviar ROLE:

The daily tasks of the role will require working on your feet, and operating in a room 40' F. Labeling and sanitizing caviar tins Packing all roe/caviar offerings Product quality control and completed tasting notes with Manager Daily caviar room clean up, sanitization and station breakdown Maintaining Daily Cooler and Product HACCP Logs with Manager sign off Product transport and proper documentation Inventory management of and ordering of all caviar packing room supplies (excluding tins and labels)

REQUIREMENTS

Close attention to detail Ability to maintain a clean and organized work station Ability to follow systems and protocols Understanding of the importance of food safety {Experience with seafood and/or food handling is a plus}
