Temp-to-Hire Opportunity Job Description:
Schedule:
Full-Time/Days; 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
Payrate:
$16.50/hr. Immediate opening for a Bag Catcher with a well-established manufacturer in Presque Isle. This is a great entry-level opportunity for individuals who enjoy staying active and work well in a fast-paced production environment. No previous experience required - training will be provided. Benefits available after the temp-to-hire period concludes. The Bag Catcher will support production and shipping operations by retrieving finished products from the production line, inspecting items for quality, and organizing materials onto pallets for storage or shipment. Employees may also assist machine operators and warehouse staff as needed to maintain a steady and efficient workflow. Ideal candidates will be dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working on their feet throughout the shift.
Responsibilities:
Retrieve finished products from the production line and stack or organize items onto pallets for storage or shipment. Inspect bags and packaging materials for visible defects or damage. Count and sort finished products to ensure accurate quantities for packaging or staging. Move materials and finished goods within the facility using pallet jacks or forklifts while following established safety guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work area by removing waste materials and assisting with routine cleanup. Organize tools and materials so production staff can access them quickly and efficiently. Assist machine operators and other production staff as needed to keep workflow moving smoothly. Perform additional duties as requested by the site supervisor.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent education. Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted. Ability to stand, walk, crouch, and work on concrete floors for extended periods of time. Good communication skills; must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience helpful, but not required.
