Great Lakes Wine & Spirits continues to grow as we seek a Put-Away Dock Checker for our warehouse facilities in Detroit. Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Dock Checker is responsible for sorting and putting away product within the warehouse ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. These duties involve scanning and putting away non-damaged products correctly in a safe and efficient manner. Other duties include but not limited to assisting on returns dock and light janitorial as needed. Work Environment & Physical Demands This position operates in a warehouse environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration where the noise level can be loud. This role is also very active and must frequently stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop and climb throughout the day while lifting, stacking, moving and rotating with items, without handles, that weigh up to 50 pounds; push/pull carts with up to 100 pounds of force. This position is required to operate warehouse equipment and regularly to read, write and communicate in English. Work Schedule This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday starting at 8:00 AM and works until the job is finished. Occasional Saturdays may be required based on holiday schedules and business needs. Required Qualifications At least 18 years of age High School Diploma/GED Ability to be active and on your feet for an entire shift Ability to frequently lift and carry 55 lbs., and push or pull up to 100 lbs. Hi-Lo / Pallet Jack experience (preferred - willing to train) Additional Requirements Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the employee policy manual and any applicable contracts, signed agreements, and work rules.
