Back Packaging Engineering Data Specialist#2016051 Auburn Hills, Michigan, United StatesApply X Facebook LinkedIn Email Copy Job Description The Packaging Engineering Data Specialist is responsible for remediating, documenting, and maintaining packaging specifications data across a large portfolio of legacy and new parts, including Independent Aftermarket (IAM) and retail-focused part numbers, where required Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), container, dunnage, and labeling information is incomplete or missing. This role focuses on transforming fragmented or tribal-knowledge-based packaging information into accurate, structured, and auditable data using Microsoft Office 365 tools, low-code platforms and packaging systems. The position supports regulatory compliance, retail readiness, and long-term packaging data governance to enable controlled expansion into IAM and consumer-facing channels.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean up and remediate legacy packaging specifications with missing or incomplete EPR, container, and dunnage dataDocument detailed packaging attributes to support IAM, retail, and consumer-facing requirementsEnsure packaging specifications contain the data required to support regulatory, labeling, and channel complianceSupport creation and documentation of IAM and retail-specific packaging specifications where requiredBuild and maintain structured packaging documentation systems using Microsoft Office 365 tools (e.g., SharePoint, Power Apps, Excel)Work with Packaging Engineering, Regulatory, Sales, and Marketing interface roles to ensure packaging data supports intended marketsValidate completeness and traceability of packaging data prior to downstream use or approvalIdentify data gaps, risks, and inconsistencies that could impact compliance or market expansion

Auburn Hills, MIOn-site rolePotential travel to suppliers, vendors, or other Stellantis locations Location(s) 1000 Chrysler Drive, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326, United States Requirements Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Management, Supply Chain, IT, or related technical fieldMinimum of 1 year of relevant experienceWorking knowledge of SQL (writing queries to extract, join, and filter data from relational databases)Experience working with structured data, specifications, or technical documentationStrong proficiency within a Microsoft Office 365 environment (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, related tools)Ability to analyze incomplete or inconsistent technical data and drive it to closureStrong attention to detail and documentation disciplinePreferred QualificationsExperience supporting IAM, retail, or consumer-facing packaging initiativesExperience with data visualization and BI tools, such as Power BI, Qlik (Sense/View), Tableau, or equivalent platformsFamiliarity with regulatory, labeling, and compliance considerations for packaged productsExperience using SharePoint, Power Apps, Access, or similar low-code platformsExperience supporting data cleanup, standardization, or legacy system remediationAbility to translate regulatory or channel requirements into structured data fields within specifications Employment Type Full-time Stellantis At Stellantis, we assess candidates based on qualifications, merit, and business needs.
