Packaging Associate

To manually finish printing ribbons to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production targets. Duties and responsibilities To perform on one of the stations to finish and package printing ribbons. The stations are slitting and splicing, attaching take-up core, banding and packaging, and carton and box. Packaging associates should move between each operation regularly. May lift materials and finished products up to 35 lb. Slitting splicing and attaching take-up core requires sitting during the entire shift. Banding and packaging, and carton and boxing require standing the entire shift. Help train employees and temporary employees. Recommend productivity improvement plans and cost reduction plans (Total Productive Maintenance activity). Investigate and analyze the causes of target frustration. Facilitate internal communication and working relationships within areas of responsibility. Operate production machines and complete all required duties associated with the Machine Operator job description as necessary. Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent experience Packaging and assembly experience preferred Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions. Must be able to enter production data into the computer. Production line experience in manufacturing. Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the shift. Perform all duties in a safe and efficient manner Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Pay Rate Day Shift:

Starts at $16/ per hour

Night Shift:
