Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Worker and become a vital part of our fast-paced distribution operation! In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling inventory, operating heavy equipment, and supporting seamless warehouse distribution processes. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure accurate order fulfillment, safe materials handling, and smooth shipping and receiving operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management systems, heavy equipment operation, and inventory control while contributing to a thriving logistics environment. Responsibilities Safely operate heavy machinery including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, move, and stock materials throughout the warehouse. Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately and support inventory control initiatives. Perform order picking, packing, and shipping & receiving duties to fulfill customer orders efficiently and accurately. Assist with materials handling tasks such as heavy lifting, stacking pallets, and organizing stock in designated areas following OSHA safety standards. Support warehouse distribution activities by loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper placement of goods for easy access and safety compliance. Conduct regular stock counts and participate in inventory audits to maintain precise records of all warehouse items. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve processes, and ensure compliance with safety regulations including OSHA guidelines. Experience Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and materials handling. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers is highly preferred. Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 systems or similar platforms used for inventory control is advantageous. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation and basic maintenance is a plus. Prior warehouse supervisor experience or leadership roles within a distribution center are beneficial. Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards for industrial environments. Ability to perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
