Locates and picks product to fill customer orders in all picking areas within the Distribution Center. Locates, gathers, and transports quantities of filter products throughout the distribution center and warehouse areas to fill customer orders. Operates powered equipment and assists in physical inventory counts as assigned ResponsibilitiesCORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Picks orders according to bay locations, procuring correct quantity and type of filter. Utilize pick labels, pick sheets and voice picking equipment as necessary to pick orders. Replenishes inventory in bay locations manually or using appropriate material handling equipment. Operates equipment as assigned, which may include tractor-trailers, trailer jacks, lift trucks, order pickers, SA's, electric or manual pallet jacks, stretch wrap machines, hand-held RF terminals, and radios. Assists in physical inventory counts of finished goods as required. Assists with loading or unloading export containers as required. Processes priority shipments (UPS, FedEx, etc.) as required. Inspects cases of filters to ensure that damaged or otherwise defective cases are not shipped. Reports problems to department supervision immediately. Responsible for meeting established unit production standards. Completes department paperwork as required. Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and under control. Responsible for observing safety rules at all times and reporting unsafe conditions to department supervision. QualificationsEDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
High School Diploma/GED three months work experience in a warehouse environment or prior experience operating a forklift.Preferred:
High school Diploma/GED six months related work experience in a distribution center.Physical Requirements:
This position requires the individual to handle and transport products and materials weighing up to approximately fifty pounds. Requires the ability to master use of voice-picking technology and equipment. Requires operating powered equipment including any or all of the following: LP forklift, standup forklift, Order Picker, and SA. Position may require employee to possess a CDL license.
