Packing Assistant

Job Summary:

The Packing Assistant at L.A. Burdick Handmade Chocolates supports the accurate and careful packaging of handcrafted chocolate products for retail, wholesale, and e-commerce orders while maintaining quality and presentation standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Packs chocolate assortments, gift boxes, and individual products according to established specifications.
• Assembles boxes, inserts, and packaging materials accurately and efficiently.
• Ensures correct product counts, labeling, and packaging accuracy.
• Inspects products for appearance, quality, and damage prior to packing.
• Maintains high presentation standards for premium gift packaging.
• Supports daily production and fulfillment needs for retail and e-commerce orders.
• Assists with preparing orders for shipment or transfer to retail locations.
• Follows all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures while maintaining a clean work area.
• Collaborates with packing, production, and warehouse teams and supports additional operational tasks as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience in food production, packaging, warehouse, or fulfillment environments a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequent use of hands for repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Work in a production or warehouse environment with exposure to temperature-controlled areas and food allergens.

Pay:

From $15.00 per hour
