Full Job Description Overhead Crane & Packaging Associate Location:
Camden, NJ Employment type: Temp-to-Hire Job summary: Our client in Camden, NJ is seeking a Overhead Crane & Packaging Associate to join their team. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 6AM-4:30PM Essential Duties & Responsibilities Safely operate overhead cranes using remote controls to lift, move, position and transport steel materials throughout the warehouse Utilize coil hooks, sheet lifters, and other approved lifting devices to handle material safely and efficiently. Perform daily crane inspections and complete required inspection checklists. Identify and report equipment defects, maintenance concerns, or malfunctions to supervision immediately. Verify material weights and ensure all lifts comply with crane load capacities and safety requirements. Load and unload trucks safely while ensuring proper material placement and secure handling. Supply production equipment with material as needed to support workflow and productivity. Assist with packaging, staging, and material preparation activities. Follow all company safety procedures, operating standards, and housekeeping requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Previous overhead crane operating experience is required Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure. High school diploma or GED preferred. Strong depth perception, spatial awareness, and reaction time. Ability to work safely in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods throughout the shift.
