Title:
Warehouse / Packer
Summary:
Works under the direct supervision of Warehouse manager. Helps with the everyday tasks of the warehouse. Packaging and palletizing of finished product. Ensures that product meets quality specifications, checks labeling, code dates and bag integrity before palletizing.
Essential Functions:
Helps with everyday warehouse functions. Builds and labels cardboard boxes following safety protocols. Follows FIFO protocols and makes sure all product is correctly dated. Packages product and places. Bags and packages finished product per supervisor instructions. Maintains Packing area as clean as possible. Works directly with Line Supervisor to ensure proper stock of bags and packing materials are always available. Adheres to Company Safety Standards at all times.
Physical Demands:
Frequent bending, twisting and lifting. Ability to lift unassisted 30 - 50 lbs at a time. Working standing and/or sitting for long periods of time. Ability to move hands in a rapid and repetitive manner as to keep up with the speed of the machine and avoid packaging delays. Working in a warm environment with flour dust. Working in a loud production environment. Occasionally working extended shifts.
Skills and Experience:
Required:
Ability to communicate in a clear manner and follow specific instructions. Ability to work in a fast pace environment Basic arithmetic skills. Ability to work and relate with others. Able to follow safety guidelines. Well organized.
