Quality Control Lead - Reno Southern Hobby Distribution - 2.4 Reno, NV Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications Customer service Task prioritization Full Job Description The Southern Hobby Quality Control Lead performs assessment, documentation, and organizational tasks to support the efficiency and effectiveness of Southern Hobby's delivery and production capabilities. The Quality Control Lead will have oversite over the function of the picking/packing/shipping lines and support the qualitative efforts of delivery. Duties/Responsibilities:
Support the Quality Control efforts of the Production team: Picked. Use RF gun to check picked items for completeness and accuracy. Packed. Use RF gun to spot-check that packed items meet a standard. Shipped. Observe shippers to ensure they are measuring, weighing, and selecting shipping rates and services correctly. Support security, communication, and documentation procedures for all

customers. Spot-check shippers to shipping standards. Order tickets, packing, and shipping labels shall align 100% of the time. Ensure shippers double-check orders for method of shipment (next day air, overnight, two-day, 3-day, etc.) Ensure that shippers maintain the integrity of all outbound orders. Ensure that all completed orders have the appropriate sticker added to them. Run and collate end of day reports and ensure standards are met. Ensure that housekeeping (5S) is completed at the end of the day for picking, packing, and shipping stations. Clean as you go mentality. Ensure shippers validate packing/shipping stickers for accuracy. Ensure down stackers validate packing/shipping stickers for accuracy, properly load trucks, and closeup the trucks at the end of the day. Assist with quarterly and yearly inventory. Regular and reliable attendance. Other duties as communicated by the leadership team.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent time management skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Ability to follow safe warehouse working practices, as instructed. Ability to take directions and follow procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Responsible for a process, however no direct reports.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-3 years' experience working in a warehouse preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. safely.
