At Sterling our employees are our most valuable resource and due to our continued and rapid growth we have a full-time seasonal opportunity in our Warehouse/Shipping Department at our facility in Hauppauge, NY (Long Island, Suffolk County)! The available shift is 8:30am - 5pm.

How You'll Help Us Be Successful:

Weighing packag es and labeling it appropriately. Inspect packages to ensure it is not damaged. Inspect shipment containers/boxes to ensure it meets shipping regulations. Assemble daily orders by location and/or other shipping categories. Keep logs or records of packages including delivery notes, invoices, etc. Fill out packing and order forms with the relevant shipping information. Seal and label appropriately. Must keep area organized and clean along with shipping containers/boxes and supplies.

What You'll Need To Be Successful:

High School diploma or equivalent work experience Strong organizational, and time management skills Good communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to quickly identify production problems and ability to identify quality problems Energetic, dependable and a reliable team player Ability to follow directions, safety standards Willing to work overtime as required, occasionally on short notice Ability to tolerate being exposed to loud noises and moving machinery Must be available to work a flexible schedule, which includes days and weekends.
