Packaging Associate

Packaging Associate - Leetonia, OH We are currently seeking a Packaging Associate for our client in Leetonia, Ohio . This position requires the physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Shift:

Monday-Thursday, 8:00 PM-6:00

AM Pay:

$16/hour

Key Responsibilities:

Repetitively lift aluminum extrusions up to 40 feet long and weighing up to 75 pounds from metal basket carriers to the packing conveyor. Gather all materials needed for framing bundles (tape, stretch wrap, cardboard, paper, banding, etc.). Visually inspect metal during bundling for defects such as burrs, scratches, chips, gouges, dents, bubbles, or die lines, ensuring all pieces meet or exceed customer specifications. Assemble bundles per foreman's instructions, using appropriate packing materials. Assist or operate the cut-back saw station and act as saw helper at the press. Lift metal from racks and return it after cutting. Record daily piece counts or weigh counts. Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including housekeeping of the shipping area. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED. Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures or rulers. Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
