Job Description

Job Title:
Warehouse Picker Job Description This role involves working in a warehouse environment to accurately pick, move, and manage inventory while operating forklifts and handling related documentation. You will be responsible for counting storage inventory, loading and unloading trucks, organizing products in designated areas, and maintaining accurate records in an inventory system. You will operate independently most of the time and ensure that products are stored and handled according to specific client requirements. Responsibilities Count and verify storage inventory in an assigned area of the warehouse to ensure accuracy and completeness. Load and unload trucks carrying a variety of products using forklifts and other material handling equipment. Move products throughout the warehouse using stand-up and sit-down forklifts, ensuring safe and efficient transport. Operate independently for most daily tasks while following established warehouse procedures and safety guidelines. Manage and complete all required paperwork accurately, including inventory forms and shipment documentation. Enter and organize inventory data in the inventory system to maintain up-to-date and accurate records. Handle products according to specific client requirements, including how to store, move, and manage different types of items. Use RF scanners to track inventory, confirm picks, and update stock levels in real time. Assist with packing, staging, and organizing products for shipment or storage as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with warehouse safety standards. Essential Skills 2+ years of distribution forklift and order picking experience. Proven experience operating forklifts, including stand-up and sit-down models, in a warehouse or distribution environment. Hands-on experience with loading and unloading trucks in a warehouse setting. Working knowledge of inventory management processes and procedures. Ability to use RF scanners for inventory tracking, picking, and verification. Experience with packing, inventory handling, and general warehouse operations. Ability to manage and complete paperwork accurately and organize it within an inventory system. Knowledge of specific handling and storage requirements for different clients' products, including how to store and move them safely. Ability to work independently, follow directions, and maintain productivity with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting, recording, and handling inventory. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a semi climate-controlled warehouse environment. Familiarity with distribution center workflows and cross-dock or high-volume operations. Comfort working overtime when required to meet operational needs. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting. Solid communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors as needed. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a semi climate-controlled warehouse located near E Admiral Pl, providing a more comfortable setting than traditional open-air facilities. You will work on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with frequent opportunities for overtime. The environment involves operating stand-up and sit-down forklifts, using RF scanners, and working around loading docks and storage areas. You will spend most of the day on your feet, moving between different zones of the warehouse, handling products, and collaborating with other warehouse staff in a structured, safety-focused setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
