Whittier is a family owned business that has been manufacturing quality real wood furniture for more than 50 years. Our business has evolved but our commitment to our customers and our dedication to create quality furniture has not changed. Whittier owns and operates two facilities. Our company headquarters, production and distribution center are located in Eugene. Our second production facility is located in Vietnam. Every operation is conducted in-house, giving us complete control over all phases of manufacturing and quality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Whittier is looking for a full time employee to work on our Team. Typically the job will be 40 hours a week with occasional overtime. Whittier receives and sends out shipments on a daily basis. The job requires picking orders, packing them appropriately, and unloading/loading containers. In addition, our semi-customizable bookcase program is located in Eugene. The job will require working in production. Including, packing out bookcases, assembly, staining, and spraying paint on cases.

Unloading containers Loading containers Building pallets Build orders for shipment Moving inventory Packing out bookcases Assembly of bookcases Staining or spraying product

REQUIREMENTS

Able to lift and move parts weighing up to 60 lbs unassisted and 250 lbs assisted. Forklift experience preferred Must have basic math skills High School degree or equivalent Comfortable using pallet jack and/or forklift Comfortable working in Paint Room with ventilation
